Child & Family Counseling in San Antonio
Your family doesn’t have to be perfect to be a blessing. In-person and online sessions available in TX.
You’re grateful for your beautiful family, but that doesn’t mean things are always easy.
Your teen comes home from school and heads straight to their room or out with their friends—and it’s a daily fight to get them to join the rest of the family at the dinner table. Or maybe your kids are younger, and they’re melting down at morning drop-off, and it truly hurts your heart to drive away.
You might be new to this, and still trying to figure out what it means to be “Mom.” You prayed to have a family of your own, but now you don’t know who you are anymore.
Or maybe you're the one lying awake at night, replaying every parenting decision, exhausted from trying to be everything for everyone.
WE’RE HERE FOR…
-
Your babies are growing up, and it’s coming with growing pains. Maybe they’re moody, throwing tantrums, or refusing to nap during the day. They were excited for school at first, but now they’re complaining of stomach aches or headaches every morning as you head out the door just so they can stay home with you.
-
As a kid, your teen loved family movie nights, but now they're spending all their time alone in their room and shutting you out. You get the feeling they're struggling in their friendships, wrestling with their identity, or feeling the weight of academic pressure—but you don't know for sure, because they won't talk to you. And maybe their behavior has started to shift too—skipping responsibilities, pulling away from the routines that used to feel normal, or making choices that leave you worried about their safety.
-
You expected to be glowing, but every time you look at your baby, you’re overwhelmed with terrifying worries about their wellbeing. All the hours you spend alone with the baby have led to feelings of isolation and loneliness. You’re overwhelmed by all of it. Worst of all, you’re ashamed because you’re “supposed” to be happier than this.
-
You and your partner want the best for your kids, but you’re not aligned fully on what that means or how to bring your faith into your parenting. Maybe you’re a newly blended family or a family navigating a big transition like a move or a divorce. You want to face these things head-on as a unit, but instead your house is full of conflict and disconnection.
Every day feels like a battle, and you feel guilty for how often you've lost your patience lately.
Remember, one hard moment doesn't undo everything you're pouring into them.
HOW WE CAN HELP
We create a safe, nonjudgmental space where everyone in the family can be heard.
When a child is acting out, a teen is withdrawing, or a new mom is struggling, it's easy to focus all the attention on them. But we don’t believe in labeling one person as "the problem,” because behavior doesn't happen in isolation. It's shaped by the relationships, routines, and dynamics surrounding it. That’s why we look at the family system as a whole.
We meet children and teens where they are developmentally, using play therapy, art therapy, and therapeutic conversations to help them process what's going on in helpful, age-appropriate ways.
Parents, you’re always involved in the process, too. We work with you to understand the why behind your child's (and your own) behavior, so you're not just managing the moment but actually understanding where it’s coming from.
We’ll make sure you’re equipped with practical tools you can use between sessions, because we believe growth works best when it’s worked on at home. We also invite families to bring faith into session if that’s important to them.
The goal isn't to fix one person. It's to strengthen the way your family communicates, connects, and moves through hard things.

Absolutely. Our work is rooted in Christianity, and we welcome faith into the process for families who want it there.

Not at all. We won't push beliefs on you or make assumptions about your faith. Our goal is simple: help your family heal in a way that honors your values.

Couples counseling focuses on the relationship between you and your partner. Child and family counseling widens the lens to include the whole family system, including the dynamics between parents and children, sibling relationships, and how the family communicates and moves through hard things together. Sometimes families start here and realize the couple's relationship needs its own space, and we can help with that too.
-
That's common, and it doesn't mean therapy can't work. Teens often feel like counseling is something being done to them, so we focus on creating a space that feels different from the conversations they're used to having. We don't lecture, and we don't take sides. Most teens who are hesitant at first start to open up once they realize this is a space where they're heard and respected.
-
No. We know that most parents walking through our door are already doing everything they can. You won't be shamed, criticized, or handed a script. Our role is to help you understand what's happening beneath the behavior, give you tools that feel practical and sustainable, and support you in leading your family in a way that aligns with your values.

Our team of licensed clinicians have experience working with children, adults, and families across diverse settings. We're also trained in evidence-based approaches which we incorporate into our work with families. We understand that working with children and teens requires a different skill set than working with adults, and we meet them where they are developmentally.
